Since 1999, LEF has hosted its annual Teacher Awards, honoring outstanding K-12 educators in Lafayette Parish public, private and parochial schools. This Academy Award style event, complete with screaming fans and media interviews on the red carpet, provides public recognition for those who give tirelessly but generously to the children in our community - OUR TEACHERS!

There are four categories in which top finalist are chosen, elementary, middle, and high school, as well as inspirational. 

Educators are nominated by the students, parents, fellow educators and members of the Lafayette community. Nominees must be active academic educators in Lafayette Parish public, private or parochial schools in grades K-12.
